***Don’t for a second believe that if He feels distant He must not be present…***
That is a lie.
Sometimes we allow the voices around us and to drown out His voice within us.
We look for answers in everyone we meet, therapies we try, substances we overuse, and programs we can’t commit to.
and when nothing works we blame Him- His distance.
Friend, (with my finger pointing at my chest) He is not an imposing intruder, a nosy friend, or a clingy ex. In every sense of the word, He is a GENTLEman.
Waiting and willing to meet us in our mess, vulnerability, admitted need, and final surrender.
Waiting to meet us in our TRUE DESIRE to meet Him.
after we’ve tired ourselves, He’s still there right where we left Him. Wherever that is. It’s our choice to choose where we put Him, and in what position/priority/pocket we’ll fit Him into our lives…
How long would you pursue being with a someone that left you feeling neglected, used, forgotten, or lonely?
How long really?
Some of us weeks. Months.
Personally, I did this for years.
Most of us eventually get tired and move on.
Some pursue for a lifetime in repeated disappointment.
Well let’s ask the same question as the pursued, Him the pursuer.
How long would He pursue being with me even though I often leave Him feeling neglected, used, or forgotten?
Months? Years? ✅
He has created ETERNITY because He desires to spend it with Me! YOU! Each one of us! That’s stinkin’awesome!
So all this to say, He created ETERNITY to spend with us there, and would wait our entire lifetime just for the chance to really love us here. Because He’s a wise gentleman, He knows when our hearts are truly giving Him that chance.
He knows the difference between temporary fling and long term lover. He responds accordingly.
This is not to inflict guilt, He promises Grace sufficient, but truly in the times we blame Him distant/non existent, is it true? Or have we moved?
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you!
He will always meet us in our effort- never too much pressure/pushiness to be with us, but certainly He’ll never leave us alone! He loves us so much He decided a lifetime with us would never be enough- therefore He created Eternity!
Friend, when you think He’s distant, remember to ask yourself who moved!!
Praying Perspective With You Today,
Love u, Josie
“And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and ETERNAL LIFE.”
